Administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
2. Recruits, interviews, tests, and selects employees to fill vacant positions.
3. Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
4. Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
5. Trains management in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
6. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relation’s issues.
7. Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
8. Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
9. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
10. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
11. Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
12. Prepares employee separations notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.

Education and/or Experience
1. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
2. Five years related experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
1. PHR certification desired.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk,
stoop, kneel & crouch. Occasionally the employee is required to climb or balance.
Employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move from (5) five to (50) fifty pounds.
Anything over 50 lbs. requires physical or mechanical assistance. Employee must be able
to raise arms to chest level, above shoulder level and overhead. Must be able to reach with
hands and arms; use hands to fingers, handle or feel. Specific vision abilities required by
this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability
to adjust focus with or without corrective lenses.
