Human Resource Manager

The responsibilities of this role include:
Plans and administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity. Manages lower level exempt, non-exempt and/or supervisory staff. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Specifically, duties include (but are not limited to):
Effectively communicates company and department goals to team and operational partners and aligns HR activities with these goals.
Engages in planning, expectation setting, evaluating, controlling and tracking against goals, budget, and timetables.
Responsible for the supervision of staff including but not limited to: hiring, performance appraisals, training and mentoring.
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment and advises management in appropriate resolution of these issues.
Promptly reports compliance issues to Sr. HR management team and works through resolution as appropriate.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs and recommends/implements changes to meet the changing needs of the business.
Administer salary administration and performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization and conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.

job Requirements
Minimum requirements to be considered are:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university or four years of direct experience; and six years of additional relevant experience, including 2 years of management experience.
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or comparable HR certification.
Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff, including executives.
Excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Excellent motivational and team building skills.
In addition, we will give preference to candidates with the following:
Master’s degree
SPHR certification
