HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR

Western Dental Services, Inc., the largest staff model provider of dental services in California and one of the nation’s leading dental health maintenance organizations, operates over 190 dental centers throughout California and Arizona.Western Dental has an immediate opening for a Human Resources Director in our Orange corporate office. This position will oversee and supervise HR activities for all Western Dental offices. This position reports to Western Dental’s General Counsel and works closely with operations management.The following is an outline of the responsibilities of the position:-Facilitate the hiring, training and development of employees while supporting the company in achieving its goals and objectives by ensuring compliance in its management policies and practices.
-Experience in recruiting, including healthcare professionals (e.g., doctors, dentists or other licensed professionals)
-Manage Employee Relations.
-Ensure legal compliance in all HR areas.
-Develop, administer and maintain workplace safety programs.
-Salary and wage administration.
-Maintain performance evaluations and incentive plans.
-HR policy development and implementation.
-Administer various employee benefit programs.
-Administer and mitigate Workers’ Compensation and Unemployment Insurance exposure.
-Maintain and update Employee Handbook.
-Develop and administer HR related training to employees.
-Manage all employee/HR related files.
-Coordinate all HR related activity with operations.
-Represent company at employment hearings.
-All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 10+ years of successful HR experience; healthcare HR experience a plus.
