HR Generalist II*

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Generalist II provides significant professional leadership in implementing and maintaining Human Resources policies, programs and procedures relative to compensation and benefits, training and development, employee relations, recognition and rewards, and organizational development. REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management or the equivalent related experience. SPHR or PHR strongly preferred. Requires 5 years of experience advising/educating managers on matters of employee relations and personnel-related laws and regulations, demonstrated expertise in Human Resource applications, including employee relations, grievance resolution, benefits and recruitment. Requires experience in HR information systems, supervisory development, presentation of recommendations to management, project management and implementation of programs. Healthcare HR experience is strongly preferred but not required. Occassional travel to Emeryville, CA will be required.
We are looking for a seasoned HR professional with excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of management and staff.
Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, California Labor Code, CFRA, Wage and Hour Law (exempt status, meal periods, flexible work schedules, independent contractor), Workers' Compensation Law, FLSA, FEHA, FRA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, OSHA, EDD (SDI/UI) and Federal EEO/AA laws required. Current knowledge of personnel legal issues (such as ADA & Wrongful Discharge Case Law), Occasional travel to Emeryville, CA (bay area) will be required.
