HR Generalist

Develops, plans, organizes and facilitates Human Resources programs and activities; Develops, communicates and implements pro-active employee relations strategies, team-based initiatives, training, leadership development, employee communications, performance management and compensation and benefits in support of the organizational goals and strategic objectives; Investigates and helps to resolve Employee Relations issues and complaints; Counsels leadership on matters concerning development of operational staff to enhance effectiveness and potential; Goal is to shift emphasis from resolving issues for others to building leadership capabilities to address and resolve both human and technical aspects of the work environment; Provides guidance and counsel to leaders and employees with regard to programs, policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required; This position requires the ability to accommodate frequent overnight travel (approximately 75% of the time).Professional Certification in HR or Compensation or a Master’s degree in Human Resources is desirable; A minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in an HR generalist capacity with specialization in Compensation, Staffing or Organizational Development strongly preferred. Excellent oral/written communication, analytical, organization, critical thinking, presentation, problem-solving and computer skills; Ability to offer subject matter expertise on organizational change and design, leadership development, performance management, compensation, advancement planning, employee retention, team building, and employee relations; Ability to build collaborative relationships with employees at all levels of the organization, in person and by phone; Ability to generate reports and perform analysis both of which yield insight to internal clients; Ability to influence in a matrix organization; Ability to manage change during integration and acquisition phases.
