HR Assistant

The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for various support functions within the Human Resources Department. This position is distinguished by its ongoing responsibility for tasks and assignments requiring independent judgment, organization and coordination skills, and interfacing with employees at all levels of the organization.

Administer HR guidelines, time off system for union employees, processing of union and temporary employees, attendance program, timekeeping, general HR forms, and various reports. Assist HR Manager with special projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated managerial support experience.
- Knowledgeable of Human Resources procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, union-based, manufacturing environment with frequent changes and demands.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer proficiency using MS Office.
- Familiar with Kronos Timekeeping System desired.
- Detail-oriented and ability to complete assignments in a timely fashion with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate diplomatically and professionally with employees at all levels.
- Take ownership of tasks and projects and follow through to completion.
- Take personal responsibility for meeting needs of plant employees.
- Work independently on diverse assignments.
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure multiple deadlines are met.
- BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent with 2-3 years experience in Human Resources is desired.
