Director of Professional Development

L-3 Communications-Titan Group, Enterprise IT Solutions Division, has an outstanding opportunity for the right individual to lead its Professional Development activities. This position reports to the Vice President of Human Resources & Administration and will be responsible for the training and professional development of a division of over 2100 employees. This will include developing training programs, coordinating with internal and external training providers, conducting/analyzing requirements, completing organizational assessments and evaluating program success. The training areas include professional development, functional area technical training, and division-wide compliance training. This role may also assist with program-specific training.The ideal candidate will have demonstrated results in developing and implementing appropriate professional, executive and other training courses in a technical, professional environment. It is preferred that the ideal candidate has conducted Myers-Briggs or other relative assessment certification programs. Experience in developing and implementing succession plans is a plus. Organization assessment and development is a key component of this position and the ideal candidate must have an in-depth knowledge in this discipline.The individual must also have a strong computer background with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite to include PowerPoint, Excel and various types of software utilized in the training development area. This position requires at least 15 years experience in the professional development/training area and at least five (5) years working in the Government Contracting industry. In addition, the qualified individual must have strong leadership and presentation skills and ideally would have been in a supervisory position for at least five (5) to seven (7) years. Familiarity with CMMI is strongly preferred. A BS or BA degree is required. Masters degree is preferred.
