Director of Operations & Leadership Training

Position Purpose: Responsible for the design and management of operations and leadership learning curricula for all field operations positions.


Duties and Responsibilities:


- Operations training Development & Delivery: Curriculum design, delivery, and tracking for all levels (Sales Associates through Market Managers).
- Design and implement all new product & process training
- Evaluate curriculum design to ensure quality and content validity while balancing cost efficiency
- Leadership training Development & Delivery: Leadership curriculum design & Delivery for Assistant Store Managers, Store Managers, Franchisees, Field Consultants, and Market Managers.


Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:


- Masters or Ph.D. in Instructional Design, Industrial Organizational Psychology, and / or Organizational Behavior preferred; BA minimum.
- 8-10+ years experience in learning and leadership development in an organization known for innovative and creative approaches to learning design and delivery. Multi-unit retail experience preferred.
- Proven track record of effective tool and program development in the following areas: leadership training, curriculum design, large-scale operations and IT initiative learning, WBT/CBT design, and learning management system deployment.
- Extensive experience working with employees at all levels (Senior Executives through hourly)
- Key skills include exceptional project and budget management, influencing, strategic vision, negotiating, leadership, vendor management and analytical skills.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and have strong interpersonal communication and platform skills.
- Must be creative/innovative, have a high sense of urgency, results focused, able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines.
- Can work effectively in changing or ambiguous environment with minimal guidance.
- Substantial leadership experience managing a top-tier team and working across functional lines with other departments.
- Superior professionalism, discretion and judgment.
- Willingness to draw conclusions and defend a point of view.
- Well developed sense of humor.
- Must sign all required employee agreements.
