Director of Human Resources - Restaurant/QSR
Director of Human Resources - Restaurant/QSR Our client is one of America's top Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Operators, with 100+ locations throughout Southern California. They are profitable and fast growing, with a commitment to their employees. Because of rapid growth, our client is looking to add the full time position of Director of Human Resources, which will be headquartered in La Palma (zip 90623). Reporting to the CEO, this position is vital within the organization and plays a key role to the continued success of the company. This position works under little to no supervision; demonstrating expertise in a variety of H.R. concepts, practices, and procedures; and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. This position is also responsible for current and long-term effectiveness of all Human Resource functions covering the 4,000 employee population of the business. Job Responsibilities: * Consistent implementation of existing procedures. * Develop training programs and documentation for HR procedures. * Develop and maintain a daily reporting system of incidents and HR issues for review by CEO as needed. * Motivate workers in order to increase retention and loyalty. * Work with CEO to create rewards and incentives for workers' cooperation and adherence to policies. * Develop an HR program based upon motivation, encouragement, and open dialogue to produce a strong, happy workforce
REQUIREMENTS
Job Requirements: * Interested in getting the job done and not a clock watcher. * Value employees and looks for ways to strengthen the communication and success of the restaurants. * Organize and track actions to ensure that proper procedures are being followed. * Able to create spreadsheets to manage and track processes and steps to ensure compliance and follow through. * Experience in implementation and training of written procedures. * Interested in the prevention of problems and occurrences more than the correction of recurring situations. * Able to identify underlying problems and correct the root cause. * Experience managing a large workforce of hourly and part time workers. * Experience in developing a successful HR organization, which is based up on respect and support of the employees. * Someone who is ‘hands on’ (this position has a staff of 3), and willing and able to wear both Tactical and Strategic hats. * Must be able to be succinct in their presentation skills. Candidates MUST have a recent QSR, Food Franchise, Restaurant, or related industry background to be considered.
