Director of Human ResourcesWith close to 200 employees in North America, this Connecticut based manufacturing company has a long stable history of dependable growth and an outstanding industry reputation for quality and service. The Company is poised to take advantage of significant growth opportunities through organic and acquisitive growth, and recognizes the need for a strong HR capability to assist and enable this initiative. Working closely with the CEO, the Director of Human Resources will be tasked with bringing a professional HR approach and infrastructure to a family owned business steeped in tradition. This individual will be involved not only in establishing the policies, procedures and systems internally, but will play a critical role in implementing strategic initiatives, acquisition integration, and any and all employment related matters. Additional focus areas will include implementing ongoing training and professional development programs, appropriate job fit determination of existing and future staff, compensation and incentive plan review and enhancements, succession planning issues, as well as having an active budgeting role. This is a hands-on position, and the company’s reputation for excellence and quality demands only the best in their employees. Demonstrated success in a human resource generalist/management role preferably in starting up or developing the Human Resources function within a growth stage company. Acquisition integration experience is a plus Solid understanding of HRIS and specific Oracle system experience preferred Specific areas of preferred expertise include compensation, training, organizational development and succession planning Experience in preparing, monitoring and supporting the budget process Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource related area required. Masters, SPHR and/or CCP strongly preferred.Experience: 7-10 years human resource experience preferably with at least 3 years in a small to midsized (200MM+) organization 5+ years in management role of multiple human resource functionalities
