This position's primary responsibilities include; developing, maintaining and leading a corporate quality plan, managing the Quality Improvement Process, and maximizing the impact and effectiveness of the Quality Improvement Process as directly linked to the balanced scorecard goals and objectives. Additionally, this position will establish a process or tools for identifying and measuring impact and effectiveness of a continuous quality improvement process, incorporate Six Sigma into the Stepan Quality Process and ensure that Six Sigma is also included in Stepan Quality Education, as well as the company’s corporate culture.

This position would be the Subject Matter Expert of Six Sigma. This role will define and lead the process for selection of Black Belt projects that support the goals established by the Operating Committee, as well as provide ongoing mentorship of Black Belt and Green Belt certified leaders.

This position would then monitor, measure and report to the Operating Committee regarding the overall health and status of the quality management system, identify cost savings as a result of the company’s Six Sigma quality program, as well as the successes of those Black Belt certified.
REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate would have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and 8-10 years work experience in quality process improvement within a manufacturing company. A Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is required. Strong communication and training experience is preferred.
