Compensation Analyst Sr.

If you bring these qualities to your work, then we'd like you to consider joining our team.Under limited supervision, conducts complex evaluations of jobs, salary grades and pay ranges, and assures compliance with compensation policies. Updates and revises job descriptions to reflect current duties, responsibilities and regulatory requirements. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
Conducts job evaluations and analysis for existing and proposed new jobs as requested to resolve compensation and classification issues; researches comparable market pay rates to assess relationship to Company compensation plan; prepares and presents
classification, salary, grade and range change recommendations.
Assures effective communications of compensation issues; prepares and presents recommendations to job evaluation committee to assure thorough understanding of job responsibilities; and communicates final results to appropriate personnel.
Conducts market salary surveys; collects and analyzes market data; determines competitive position of Company salary range structure; develops and presents recommendations for annual structure and budget adjustments to maintain internal and external equity in pay plans.
Writes job descriptions; assures that job descriptions are periodically revised and properly aligned with both Company and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) priorities and requirements.
Researches and prepares management reports and special assessments as requested; maintains organizational charts and compensation policies; audits data for accuracy and consistency; and distributes reports to appropriate personnel.
Assures integrity of HRIS computerized salary administration system through auditing of related data; maintains salary survey data library.
Administers and analyzes incentive compensation programs; assists in the development of proposed new incentive programs and preparation of plan documents; develops communication materials to assure continued success of incentive plan programs; and
provides input on plan changes to assure incentive plans support business objectives.
Communicates, analyzes, and makes recommendations on compensation policies and procedures to appropriate personnel; researches and responds to inquiries.
Assures compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
Performs related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Five (5) to seven (7) years Human Resources Compensation experience, preferably pharmaceutical industry environment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of:
Compensation and salary research and analysis principles, practices and methods.
Company salary and wage structure policies and procedures.
Business and personal computer hardware and software applications.
Human Resources Information Systems applications.
Business English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Principles of mathematical and statistical computations.
Current Company policies, practices and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.Skill in:
Implementing goals, objectives and practices for effective, efficient and cost effective
management of allocated resources.
Interpreting and applying Federal, state and local policies, procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources Administration.
Responding to inquiries or complaints from management, employees, customers, regulatory agencies and members of the business community.
Analyzing employee positions relative to job duties and scope of responsibilities and finding comparable positions in current business markets.
Formulating and recommending compensation policies and practices.
Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Preparing and presenting clear and concise administrative and financial reports.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with others.
Managing and prioritizing multiple projects, duties and assignments.
