Claims Examiner III workers Comp

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Increase management and employee understanding of the personal and professional advantages of working safely.
Oversee execution and administration of the Division’s Risk Management Programs, including but not limited to employee and customer safety.
Providing motivation to create and maintain a safe and healthful work environment for employees and customers.
Work closely with the Division Risk Management staff, District Manager, Store Managers and Store Safety Committee Chairperson.
Perform visits at least monthly in each store to provide assistance, support and direction and ensure safety program compliance and follow-through.
Monitor and report on effectiveness of Division Risk Management programs as well as the District employee and customer accident results. REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated
B.A. or B.S. degree.
3-5 years experience administering Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP), Occupational Safety and Health, and Environmental Affairs.
Good understanding of Retail Grocery Business preferred.
Good knowledge and understanding of Workers’ Compensation, OSHA and Public Liability Claims required
Strong interpersonal and team building skills.
Computer proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel and Access.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Able to work independently with a strong sense of urgency and business orientation.
Powerful problem analysis, problem solving, follow-through and delegation skills.
80% travel required within your designated area.
