Benefits Analyst

Volt Technical Resources is searching for a Benefits Analyst to be responsible for the operation and administration of the company's 401(k), Retirement or health and welfare plans including ensuring compliance with plan documents, ERISA, DOL, IRS and other governmental regulations. This position works in collaboration with other analysts in the HR Service Center as well as with other areas of the company or vendor organizations in a lead capacity and as a team member on project teams to plan, determine requirements, test, and implement benefit plan design and administration changes. Resolves complex and escalated issues related to benefit plan administration and oversees the performance of the outsourced vendor administrator including site visits to monitor service delivery and provide training, ensuring adherence to performance standards and contract terms and approval of change orders and invoices. As subject matter expert, responsible for reviewing all related plan communications to ensure accuracy and clarity of the information and serves as key resource to company management on functional and strategic administration issues. Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years experience in administration of benefit plans and thorough knowledge of the impact of related governmental rules and regulations. Demonstrated experience independently researching and analyzing complex issues, evaluating alternatives and making decisions and recommendations with moderate impact on the company, other departments or other organizations. Broad knowledge of project management practices with lead role in planning and implementing mid to large sized projects or a component of these projects. Demonstrated lead role in achieving results through interdepartmental teams, establishing trust and credibility with internal and external business partners and building consensus among differing perspectives at all levels of management. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects while responding to changing priorities and needs to produce high quality results within tight time constraints. Excellent oral and written communication skills (email, phone, letter, or in person) in interactions involving complex issues with all levels of employees, customers, and peers. Proactive in assessment of customer needs and lead role in implementation of technology and processes which resulted in greater efficiency and effectiveness. Bachelor degree in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Preferences Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP or outsourced vendor benefit systems and the exchange of data among these systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Professional certification in employee benefits (i.e. CEBS) or project management. Experience running administrative processes and operations for a large benefit plan either in-house or through third party administrators including defining statements of work, monitoring performance measures and reviewing requirements document. Experience applying change management techniques to implement, monitor, and ensure quality review controls and checks over benefit administrative processes.
