Assistant GM of Human Resources and Operations

Overview:To provide leadership and support on Human Resource standards and Operational objectives to the location. Also responsible for leading the store in achieving or exceeding planned sales and profit.

Key Accountabilities:Human Resources
Ensure clean, neat, and easy to shop environment for the customer through maintaining the physical plant.Manage Human Resources administration.Provide a positive work environment by consistently facilitating open, two-way communication and resolving all associate issues in a timely manner.Coordinate recognition programs.Manage storewide training process.Ensure compliance to HR standards, policies and proceduresProvide diversity leadershipRecruit, hire, and retain quality sales managers and associates.Manage job openings, monitor associate turnover and recommend actions to improve.Oversee management of compensation programs.Organize Talent Assessment updates and partner with senior team to support career development and succession planning.Review and approve all associate progressive disciplinary actions and follow-up.Provide shortage awareness training to all associates and execute a supervisor physical inventory.Manage safety program.Manage non-selling workload and merchandise flow to productivity standards.Expense managementEquipment management and technology liason.Liason for maintaining physical plant in coordination with Facility Management and Housekeeping.Monitor staffing/scheduling program to ensure proper execution in order to provide an appropriate level of service to customers and associates.Skills Summary:3-5 years experience at senior management level in a retail environmentStrong leadership skillsAbility to recruit, develop, and retain a team to achieve performance objectivesAbility to build partners and influence othersAbility to manage and prioritize many objectives at onceStrong organizational, administrative, and computer skills
