ATTORNEYS LABOR & EMPLOYMENT COUNSEL LOS ANGELES
Our client, a large international manufacturing corporation, headquartered in the Los Angeles area, is actively seeking a labor and employment attorney to join as Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will be an attorney who graduated from law school between 1991 and 1996, with strong employment counseling experience in law firm and/or government and in-house positions. Some knowledge of and experience with California employment law required. This attorney will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment law in both union and union-free settings, will oversee pre-litigation claims, and provide counseling to customers on employment issues such as leaves, wage and hour issues, terminations, reorganizations, reasonable accommodations and discipline. Position also involves defense of administrative claims; mediations; training; and CA employment law. Labor relations experience is also desirable. Experience handling OFCCP issues would be ideal. Some travel is required. Must have excellent client relations, presentation and communication skills, as well as strong writing and organizational skills and experience preparing client advice memos.
