Sales Manager

The mission of Davidson Hotel Company is to consistently deliver exceptional hotel services with dedicated, caring employees, thus achieving a competitive advantage and financial success. We currently manage 25 hotels across the United States under such flags as Marriott, Renaissance, Hilton, Radisson and Holiday Inn.We are currently seeking a Sales Manager for the Hilton located in Eugene, Oregon.Responsibilities will include:* Communicate accurately to operations, the details needed to satisfy the contract.* Contact representatives from respective market segments to solicit business for the hotel.* Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, which inspire employees.* Finalize contracts for group bookings.* Relay accurate forecasting information for rolling forecast.* Converse with guest and hotel department heads to plan function details, such as space requirements, publicity, time schedule, food service and decorations.* Consult newspapers, trade journals, etc., to learn of contemplative conventions and social functions and to learn about the market and trends.* Entertain potential clients/guests.* Execute cut-off dates on group bookings.* Plan and conduct pre-cons and post-cons.* Prepare and mail brochures, menus to prospective clients.* Analyze requirement of function, outline available hotel facilities and service offered and quote pricing.

REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree or 2 years service sales experience required* Hotel group sales experience strongly preferred* Motivated, goal-oriented, self-starter, team player, excellent negotiation skills, business communication skills, time management skills, confident, people-person, multi-tasking ability, prioritize, manage multiple accounts, attention to detail & follow-up
* Excellent computer skills & phone skills required* Travel required 25% of the time* Read, write & speak English fluently
