Marriott Vacation Club International (MVCI) is a division of Marriott International and operates over 60 vacation ownership resorts worldwide under three brands in addition to the signature line, including Horizons by Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club and the Ritz-Carlton Club. The portfolio of resorts represents 20 percent of the vacation ownership market with 225,000 owners and about 7,500 associates. MVCI has three Key Business Processes supporting all four brands, New Product to Market, Customer Relationship Management and Product Supply Management (PSM). PSM is responsible for providing the financial modeling and analytical support to ensure the company’s sales and usage inventory is optimized for the life of the resort which includes three phases; new project planning, inventory sales from pre-construction to sell out and inventory usage by each of our customer segments.

Job Summary
The Revenue Manager position is responsible for maximizing the usage of developer, owner and rental inventory by developing and implementing optimal restriction and allocation strategies, consistently. This position is responsible for utilizing existing historical data and sales pace forecasts to determine the appropriate level of inventory to allocate (based on resort specific guidelines) for owner and exchange usage to ensure we receive the highest Owner Satisfaction Survey results achievable. This position also works closely with the Regional Preview Inventory team to establish the best strategy for supporting the inventory requirements of Sales & Marketing and then implementing and managing all inventory related activities associated with the agreed upon strategy. Responsibilities also include the on-going development of seasonally competitive rental strategies for the market place and the day to day management and execution of the strategy. The Villa Usage Manager will collaborate with the Corporate Rental Marketing team to develop, implement and monitor demand generating strategies for need times as identified in the on-going six month projection process. This position will also complete the required analysis to determine the overall impact of the marketing strategy on the rental segment and identify opportunities for improvement (if applicable) going forward. Position will be required to continuously evaluate the “Best Use” of available inventory striking the appropriate balance between owner requests, preview needs and rental demand while achieving budgeted rental sales targets.

Primary Job Functions

Provides market strategy expertise and leadership to all key stakeholders;
Analyzes competitive sets, price positioning, seasonality, mix and displacement;
Provides short and long-term forecasts;
Develops business strategy plan;
Proactively develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships;
Provides targeted and timely communications, achievements and challenges to all stakeholders;
Conducts inventory and revenue analysis to make recommendations on best use of inventory and best business processes. Extracts relative data to draw viable/actionable business conclusions;
Leads a team that supports and executes the owner, preview and rental strategies;
Manages and develops staff. Celebrates and recognizes individual and team success. Provides coaching when appropriate;
Researches market conditions. Proactively develops and implements rental initiatives and strategies;
Leads Rental Sales Strategy meetings with the Rental Marketing team;
Effectively utilizes revenue management systems and tools to yield manage rates and availability;
Ensures compliance to protect the interests of the owner and company;
Initiates, implements and evaluates inventory and revenue tests
REQUIREMENTS
-A minimum of 10 years professional experience.
-A minimum of 5 years of forecasting, analysis and business evaluation experience
-Proven developer of leaders
-Proficient in all Microsoft Suites applications.
-Highly developed and effective verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience.
-Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a broad group of stakeholders in order to build trust and influence key decisions.
-Proven ability to challenge organizational norms and accepted thinking to improve effectiveness.
-Proven problem solving experience
