Restaurant and Bar Manager
POSITION PURPOSE:
To facilitate the effective running of a 4 Star restaurant within The Tower Beverly Hills Hotel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Managerial Responsibilities: These will include but not be limited to; Payroll and Expense control, Purchasing, Inventories, Scheduling, Strategic planning, Staff selection, Administration, Corporate reporting, and representation of the department in management meetings.Leadership Responsibilities: These will include but not be limited to: Supporting the Vision of the hotel, Staff training, Effective staff communication on a daily basis, Employee feedback, Employee recognition, Coach & Counseling, Leading by example, and creating a cohesive team environment.Service Responsibilities: These will include but not be limited to: Overseeing the facilitation of all staff duties to ensure a clean and well maintained restaurant, Ensure staff are well groomed, focused, and able to provide a friendly and positive disposition. Assist with the service of guests in the bar and restaurant areasSECONDARY FUNCTIONSMarketing Responsibilities: These will include but not be limited to: Promoting the bar and restaurant to the local community and representing the hotel and outlet in a positive light.

REQUIREMENTS
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with Micros preferred
- Must possess basic computer skills. Be proficient in Word and Excel programs.
- Familiarity of computer accounting programs, math skills as well as budgetary analysis capabilities required.
-This position requires previous hotel and/or upscale restaurant experience. Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions. Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations.- Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages.- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.- 3-4 years previous experience of Food and Beverage required. Supervisory experience required. Managerial experience preferred.
