Hospitality - Associate Sales Representative
Business Unit: GE Commercial Finance, Capital SolutionsFunction: SalesResponsibilities: The Hospitality ASR position is a training role to become a Sales Account Executive; this position would support the current Account Executives and the Sales Manager with sales and customer service efforts on the commercial side of the business and would work on special projects.
Cold call potential customers to support aggressive departmental sales goals.
Screen new opportunities to rapidly qualify good prospects.
Follow up on contacts made through mail campaigns and industry conferences.
Coordinate marketing efforts at industry conferences (about 10 per year).
Expedite the deal flow process by assisting with SuperTrump, Siebel, and other systems.
Complete special projects such as competitive pricing and marketing analysis.
Assist Account Executives with deal flow and account management.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: * 4 year degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Finance, Marketing, or Accounting.
At least 2 years' experience in a professional work environment in a field related to hotels or commercial finance.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and sales goals.
Ability to thrive in a very large, very structured and process-oriented environment.
Good math skills, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work on cross-functional teams and the ability to work independently as needed.
Basic knowledge of financial analysis.
You must be willing to take a drug test.
You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of your past employment, criminal history, and educational background.
