EMT Security Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY
Assist and provide Emergency Medical assistance to guests, customers and Casino/Hotel employees when needed as well as Supervise on-duty EMT personnel. Responds to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care for minor to critically ill and injured. Triages and determines the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishes priority for required emergency care. Based on assessment, renders emergency medical care to adult, infant and child, medical and trauma patients.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Supervises EMT/Security personnel and maintain training of EMT personnel.

Keeps Security Management informed of all incidents and problems that occur on watch through written, electronic and oral communication.

Schedules vacations, days off, and maintain a proper level of staffing.

Documents attendance, maintain EMT/Security equipment supply.

Provides pre-hospital emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as controlling hemorrhage, treatment of shock (hypo perfusion), bandaging wounds, and immobilization of painful, swollen, deformed extremities.
May involve ventilating airway of injured, applying CPR and/or use of external defibrillators

Exercises proper, quick judgment when assessing scene of accident/injury.

Reports verbally and in writing their observation and emergency medical care of the patient at the emergency scene and in transit to the receiving facility staff for purposes of records and diagnostics.

Attends continuing education and refresher training programs as required.

Protects of Tribal assets.

Assists security officers with irate/combative customers/employees when needed.

Attends firearm qualifications and training, when required.
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of classified/sensitive information. The Employee must be competent with various PC based software programs and standard office equipment. Must be able to establish and maintain productive working relationship with co-workers and management and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
EMT Basic and Advanced Certificate. High School diploma or GED required. Knowledge of National Indian Gaming Commission licensing and compliance regulations preferred. At least one years experience in an EMT, law enforcement, security or gaming position (preferably in supervisory role). Successful completion of P.C. 832 course or BSIS Guard Firearm Card (if armed).
