Cage Lead I

The Cage Lead I supervises the operation of the cashier cage and its staff on assigned shift in the absence of the Cage Supervisor in compliance with departmental policy and internal controls.
REQUIREMENTS


QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

· High school diploma or GED certificate, plus

· One year of work experience which includes cash handling.

· Basic math skills.

· Ability to follow detailed procedures.

· Good customer service, communication and teamwork skills.

· Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred:

· One year of high school or college bookkeeping or accounting education.

· One of more years of supervisory experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Ability to sit or stand for extended lengths of time.

· Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.

· Ability to bend, reach, squat and lift at least 25 pounds.

· Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.

DUTIES:

· Maintains custody of the Cage inventory, including currency, coin, patron checks, gaming chips, forms, documents and records normally associated with the operation of the Cage.

· Approves patron checks for the purpose of gaming in conformity with Casino policy.

· Receives, distributes, and redeems gaming chips in conformity with these standards.

· Supervises cashier cage staff, including providing timely counseling of employees.

· Trains and develops subordinate employees

· Ensures the safety and welfare of all assigned staff and patrons.

· Proposes changes in operational procedure for the purpose of improving internal control, customer service and efficiency.

· May serve as Main Banker.
