Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento has two acute care hospital campuses, Sutter General and Sutter Memorial, and has provided healthcare to residents of Sacramento since 1923. TheDiagnostic Medical Sonographer II (Ultrasound Tech II)provides diagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related procedures.
REQUIREMENTS


Education: Registered by or eligible for registry by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Registration in multiple anatomic specialists of ultrasound is encouraged and preferred. American Heart Association BLS-C course healthcare provider certification.

Experience: Extensive experience in the acute care hospital setting performing sonographic categories of obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, small parts and neurosonology, and vascular imaging is required.

Knowledge:Advanced cross-sectional anatomy, pathophysiology and its effect on normal anatomy; basic knowledge of Obstetrics and vascular anatomy/physiology. Knowledge of electrical safety and infection control guidelines.

Special Skills/Equipment: Excellent interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills are required.
