The Ultrasonographer will:
Responsible to perform a variety of Sonographic procedures independently in accordance with existing policies and procedures both within the Ultrasonography suite and/or patient room or unit.
Assists the Radiologist with invasive procedures that may include, but are not limited to: amniocenteses, core and needle biopsy, cyst aspiration, and line placements. Aides the Radiologist with image interpretation of hard copy images.

Answers questions and provides information to center customers, including patients, nursing staff, physicians, and the general public on sonographic procedures, sonographic anatomy, and sonographic principles.
Participates in quality education and mentoring of Radiographic Science students.

The Untrasonographer must possess the following:
Current licensure or pursuing certification as an RDMS with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent.
Comprehension of Sonographic techniques, principles of ultrasound physics, and competent operational practices of medical imaging equipment.
Current CPR certification.
