Social Workers provide assessment, planning, consulting, education and referral services to Gundersen Lutheran patients and family members. Social Workers act as consultants and leaders in comprehensive care throughout the system, while supporting organizational strategies and goals. This position is working in the Pediatric Outpatient Clinic. Preferenece given to candidates with Pediatric experience.Education/Learning Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent human service degree.Work Experience:
Required: 1-3 years experience in social services in a hospital, medical clinic, county social service agency or nursing home.
Desired: 3-5 years experience in a fast paced environment that includes a strong focus on disposition planning.Skills/Knowledge:
Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to adapt to varying situations, people, and departmental needs, and experience in working as a team member, and computer skills.
Desired: Current working knowledge of government/private programs, resources and funding options.Licenses/Certifications:
Required: WI State Certificate in Social Work.
