REQUIREMENTS
Must have completed a program of study to prepare an RN for advanced practice nursing within an accredited College of Nursing, which meets the Board of Nursing requirements. A current license to practice nursing in the State of Alabama is required. A Master’s degree in Nursing in the appropriate specialty is required. National certification is required. If the incumbent is a new graduate of the Master’s program, national certification must be obtained as soon as certification guidelines permit.
