Nurse Practitioner

Department: Wellington Medical CenterSchedule: Full-timeShift: Day shiftHours: 8 am to 5 pmJob Details: Master's in Nursing required - Clinic experience required - Minimum of 1 year experience in Family Practice - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure required The Nurse practitioner perform and dictates histories and physicals, H/P), assist with daily rounds and write progress notes on assigned inpatients. Will also perform procedures for which he or she is privileged to do and may dictate selected discharge summaries. All duties are performed with the collaboration of the attending physicians. The NP will initiate early treatment with the objective of providing timely, optimum care and minimizing patient length of stay. Orders, H/P reports, progress notes and other chart entries made by the NP must be reviewed and cosigned by a physician within 24 hours in accordance with Policy 6-312i Medical Record Completion.
