Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN)
We are searching for an LPN at our Southeast Arizona hospital!!!
The Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the direct and indirect nursing care of all patients ranging in age from 18 years to geriatric experiencing medically complex conditions, general medical-surgical conditions, with rehabilitation and/or wound care needs. He/She is also responsible for reporting changes in patient condition to the RN and taking direction from the RN. Demonstrates the knowledge and skill to carry out the nursing process when providing care to patients. Promotes teamwork with physicians and personnel of other departments. When appropriate, the licensed vocational nurse takes into consideration the patients’ age in the performance of any task.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Ability to project a Professional Image.
§ Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
§ Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
§ Strong organizational and analytical skills.
§ Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions (Order entry, data input)
§ Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting, or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum requirements are a Graduate from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or licensed practical nursing with current state license in good standing. Two or more years of acute care or rehabilitation experience as a LVN is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Current state license to practice as an LVN. Must maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment. ACLS certification preferred within 1 year of employment or as available courses allow.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
English is the primary language of the facility. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to chart patient information correctly. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, patients and families, physicians and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and/or diagram form. Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
