830am-500pmResponsibilities: The HME Operations Coordinator provides oversight and coordination of daily activities to the HME Technicians and participates in all aspects of the medical equipment operations of the Home Medical Equipment Department, following policies, procedures and standards to meet the needs of the HME patients and referral sources. The HME Operations Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of equipment inventory management, preventive maintenance, and delivery, and patient education on equipment use. The HME Operations Coordinator is responsible for the oversight of the oxygen transfilling operation of the business. This position also conducts sales and marketing activities in the community to referral sources.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Orients and provides on-going training to HME Technicians to ensure annual compliance.Oversees the Biomed preventive maintenance program, ensuring the program is in compliance with department policy, FDA Safe medical Device Tracking Act, JCAHO, and OSHA.Monitors equipment inventory. Coordinates the biannual inventory counts and reconciliation, assures adequate inventory levels are maintained.Coordinates the operation and maintenance of the oxygen cylinder transfill station, to include maintaining adequate level of oxygen cylinders and maintaining records in accordance with the policy of this facility, FDA, DOT JCAHO and OSHA.Promotes the HME program through marketing and public relations activities to referral sources and the community.
