Join the professionals on our team and share in a quality career experience.The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice nurse responsible to provide expert knowledge and leadership in the provision of patient care for specific patient aggregates. As the advanced practice expert, the CNS is a resource to the interdisciplinary care team for research as well as consulting and education on clinical practice. As a member of leadership, works closely with the Patient Care Manager and Clinical Educator to ensure patient care practices which provide optimum quality care and fiscal responsibility.
The Oncology CNS duties will include:

Cancer care consultations for complex and newly diagnosed inpatients at SJRMC.

Implement Cancer Care inpatient strategic plans for SJRMC.

Clinical Quality Improvement.

JCAHO and ACOS at SJRMC.

Clinical staff development and support for Cancer Care staff.
Involvement in Oncology Interdisciplinary Team.

Participation iin / support of clinical trials on site.

Collaboration with WFSI system oncology CNS's.

Development and promotion of support servicews for GYN Oncology surgical patients.Job RequirementsRN license and MSN required (or within 12 months of completing MSN). 3+ years clinical experience with specific patient aggregate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high standard of clinical excellence.
