The Physician Assistant(PA) performs the functions of examining, assessing, planning, and implementing the health care of assigned patients under a licensed physician's supervision and direction. The PA secures patient histories, performs physical examinations, orders laboratory tests, develops and implements treatment plans, performs diagnostic and treatment procedures, records findings, and provides patient education and counseling to enhance our effectivenesss in providing care for inpatient admissions.Education/Learning Experience:
Required: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.Skills/Knowledge:
Must be able to apply diverse principles of logic, medical or scientific thinking to a wide range of health care situations. Ability to apply accepted methods of treatment and creative new developments to health care problems.Licenses/Certifications:
NCCPA (National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants)certified or eligible; and licensed or eligible for licensure by the Medical Examining Boards(s)of the state(s) in which the PA functions.
