Whole Body Manager/ Team Leader
Department: Whole BodyJob Summary:
Leads the Whole Body Team and is accountable for all department operations. Responsibilities include Team Member hiring and supervision, buying and merchandising department products, managing financials, controlling inventory, complying with relevant regulations and standards, and completing special projects as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interviews, selects, trains, develops and counsels Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover. Makes hiring and termination decisions with guidance of Store Team Leader.
Establishs and maintains a positive work environment that sustains high Team Member morale.
Consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Goals and Core Values.
Communicates and maintains Team Member safety and security standards.
Provides timely, thoughtful, and thorough performance evaluations.
Develop Associate Team Leaders and Supervisors as potential Team Leaders.
Projects annual sales and expenses, with guidance of Store Team Leaders.
Manages the buying and ordering process to meet Whole Foods quality standards.
Manages inventory and pricing to achieve targeted gross profit margin.
Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising .
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of product, competitors and industry trends.
Establishs collaborative and productive working relationships with others.
Provides accurate and complete management reports for store leadership.
Maintains an exceptional level of customer service.
Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Requirements:
Demonstrated two or more years experience directing a team of five or more people.
Ability to plan and direct complex business operations, solve business-related problems, and read and prepare reports and business communications.
Must be 18 years or older and able to work a maximum of 8-10 hours per day.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours without a break.
Ability to bend and stoop to grasp objects, climb ladders, lift loads, up to 50 lbs. unassisted, push and pull carts weighing up to 100 lbs. unassisted.
Ability to visually examine products for quality and signage/labeling for accuracy.
Demonstrated proficiency in the proper use of a baler, dumpster, box cutter and all related equipment.
Thorough knowledge of all relevant Whole Foods Market policies and standards.
Completion of Professional Enhancement Program classes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills.
Previous experience as a Team Leader, Assistant Team Leader, Supervisor, or Buyer.
Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and evenings.
Ability to lead and motivate a diverse group of Team Members.
