Function: Operations (Beef, Poultry, Pork, etc.)Pay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 90141313 SupervisorEmployee Type: Full Time Shift 1Job Description: SUMMARY: This position is responsible to maintain high production, quality and yields while ensuring a safe work environment; requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping and adequate staffing; monitor daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders; oversee job rotation in order to facilitate ergonomics and ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible; promote safety on a daily basis as well as through monthly safety meetings; ensure that all Food Safety and HACCP standards are followed; provide continuous education on the importance of quality; communicate with other supervisors in resolving problems; and perform other duties as the need arises.REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma or GED with equivalent experience; college degree preferred with equivalent experience.Experience: 2 + years meat processing experience in a similar position; supervisory experience preferred; must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques, food safety, and product yields; knowledge of USDA and HACCP rules and regulations.Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills; bilingual skills preferred.Certification: None required.Travel: 0 to 10%Supervisory Responsibilities: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.Special Skills and Other Requirements: None required.Other Requirements: Display sound judgment, decision making skills, and organizational skills; accept and delegate responsibility; ability to lead team members by example and communication.
