Specialty Team Member
Receives, unloads, and puts away product delivery. Stocks Specialty products in the floor displays and cases. Ensures an appealing department by checking codes, rotating products, and removing old, damaged, or out-of-date products. Maintains correct department signage and pricing. Answers customer questions, and practices suggestive selling. Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean, and appealing. Follows and complies with all applicable health, sanitation and safety procedures. Operates all Specialty equipment in a safe and proper manner. Answers department telephone calls and pages quickly and with excellent phone etiquette. Performs other duties as assigned by the Specialty Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, or Supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Knowledgeably communicate the product line to the customer. Ability to understand customers’ needs. Ability to perform simple math operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with other Team Members and leadership. Must be 18 years or older and work up to a maximum of 8-10 hours per day. Stand and walk for extended periods of time up to 4 hours without a break. Bend and stoop to grasp objects and climb ladders. Bend and lift loads, not to exceed 68 pounds, unassisted. Push and pull carts, weighing up to 100 pounds, unassisted. Ability to visually examine products for quality, freshness, proper signage and labeling for accurate pricing. Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays. A desire to learn about natural and organic foods and products.
