Specialty Team Leader

We are looking for a talented culinary artist, with a emphasis on cheese, to lead one of our most innovative Specialty departments to date. A first of its kind, Fair Lakes will be the first store to host a sit down venue in Specialty. This venue will consist of a Gourmet Grilled Cheese selection, Value added program, cheese flights, fondue, cheese soup and wine by the glass. The leader we are looking for must have the skills to excel at running this team’s restaurant venue, as well as upholding the highest standard of execution in the retail department. Will Do: 1)Work with Culinary ASTL & Regional team to plan venue menu. 2)Interview, select, train, develop and counsel Team Members in a manner that builds, sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover. 3)Create an excited, customer service oriented team and become the areas premier cheese shop. 4)Teach product knowledge to team members and customers. 5)Mentor team in all aspects of departmental operations and create leaders. 6)Lead, motivate, inspire and develop a team with outstanding integrity. 7)Maintain the highest level of retail execution. 8)Stay on top of food trends and integrate new ideas into product mix. 9)Drive team productivity. 10)Meet financial expectations. 11)Actively participate in both store and regional leadership. 12)Achieve the highest standards in food safety and sanitation. 13)Schedule labor efficiently to meet labor targets.
REQUIREMENTS
1)Specialty Team Leader/Prepared Foods Team Leader, for at least two years or equivalent experience, with a successful track record in financials and team member development. 2)A strong passion and knowledge of food. 3)Ability to prioritize and delegate responsibilities, strong organizational skills. 4)The approval of your Store Team Leader and Coordinator (if applicable). 5)Extraordinary customer service skills. 6)Ability to do menu planning, create and spec out recipes. 7)Proven success with meeting and exceeding regional standards. 8)Strong knowledge in Cheese, Coffee and House Wares categories. 9)Skilled in all aspects of financials. 10)Solution oriented. 11)Outstanding merchandising skills. Strong leadership abilities required, with an emphasis on team-building and mentoring. Excellent verbal and written communicator with advanced listening skills. Innovative & Creative. Basic Computer Skills. Ability to perform the physical requirements of this position.
