Sales Manager

An Industry leader in Sales and Distribution is recruiting for a Iowa Sales Manager This candidate will develop business in the areas of sku distribution, profitable promotions, category leadership, trade relations and market share growth. The Iowa Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining the companies position as the category expert in both the Grocery and Non Grocery trade channels. The major account responsibilities consist of HyVee / Sunrise Dairy, Dahl’s, Casey’s, Kum n’ Go, Farner Bocken and regional accounts.The Iowa Sales Manager will work collaboratively with the distribution team to ensure proper account communication and support store level execution.
Compensation $70,000-$90-000 + 25% bonus potential + Company Pension and 401K
REQUIREMENTS
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Headquarter Sales Calls
Obtain 100% authorization for our complete line of manufactured and partner brand products.
Build, execute and attain the full year volume plan for each account.
Sell and execute all advertising and display promotions.
Utilize tools such as IRI, Nielsen, Spaceman, and other information to increase our space on all brands Analyze sales information to develop and implement schematic changes.
Continual efforts toward improvement of product placement.
Ensure correct pricing in all accounts, maintaining parity or better levels.
Prepare and conduct business reviews every six months, or as needed.
Provide market information and other information relative to our industry, to the trade Develop strong relations within the trade, encompassing all levels, including top management, to maintain our high-profile image within the industry.
Conduct regular market observations, reporting store-level conditions and competitive activity.
Conduct special projects or studies as assigned.
Work as a member of the Iowa team;provide account level communication and support to the distribution teamPOSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of the accounts in the assigned market, not limited to assigned accounts.Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and functions well under pressure.
A proven ability to work independently and be comfortable to make own decisions.
Knowledge of IRI, Nielson, Best Practices Category Management, etc.Experience and success in working in a functional organizational structure.
Experience in formulating objectives, standards, and procedures.
Ability and willingness to participate in “after hours” entertainment events.
Active participation in local trade organizations.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Strong Presentation experience
