Produce Team Member

Perform all functions relating to processing (preparation) and merchandising in the produce department. Assist the Team Leader in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items; maintaining stock room and may include training of entry level Produce TM’s. 1. Provide excellent customer service. 2. Perform all duties and responsibilities of Produce Team Member 3. Able to Receive incoming produce using proper procedures. 4. Assist in developing new displays ideas, move and replace displays as directed. 5. Maintain quality standards of displays according to regional and department. 6. May assist in training as needed 7. Monitor and prevent spoilage and communicate waste to buyers, Team Leaders and Shift supervisor. 8. Proficient in performing all shift duties. 9. Able to receive and process morning information from CDC. 10. Comply with all posted State of California Health and Safety Codes. 11. Communicate concerns or ideas with Supervisors, Buyers, ATL and Team Leaders. 12. Perform other duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Excellent communications skills and understand the importance of working as part of team. 2. Be a proactive seller. Communicate with customers. 3. Knowledge of growing process that differentiates Conventional from Organic produce. 4. Demonstrated ability to operate electric and manual pallet jacket, hand trucks, six wheel carts, and proper use of knives. 5. Continually develops produce knowledge through current memos. 6. Able to perform all physical requirements of the job and continually uses proper lifting techniques.
