Prepared Foods Associate Coordinator

The Prepared Foods Associate Coordinator will be store-based on assigned projects to specifically develop team and trouble shoot problems while running day to day operations, assisting in remodel or store opening. A successful candidate must be versatile and experienced in a broad range of retail skill sets. Priorities in this position include but are not limited to training, staff development, growing comparative sales, competition review and analysis, and increasing department net profitability. The Associate Coordinator will further refine the Prepared Foods Team Leader position and training of skilled TM’s and Leaders and the tools that help this group succeed. Assist with opening new stores in conjunction with the coordinator and STL. This position reports directly to the Prepared Foods Coordinator with a dotted line report to the STL of the project store. 1. Placed on a project basis in individual stores and teams to troubleshoot and improve operations, Leadership and retail execution 2. Champion regional program and store issues 3. Further define and refine store opening process; be active participant in all store openings including design, execution and department set-up 4. Develop action plans and overall analysis of PFDS operations 5. Part of actual team including mentoring, development and performance improvement 6. Roll up sleeves and maintain a highly visible store presence; Lots of driving and store contact 7. Team Building - hiring, training, educating, mentoring dept leadership; Train teams on environmental issues 8. Troubleshoot margin and labor problems; report progress and new action plan and goals to Coordinator and STL 9. Assist with rollout of regional marketing programs and follow-through at the stores 10. Focus on improving retail operating systems (team leadership, staff structure) 11. Assist in closing the product feedback loop from the stores to the source;use regional resources and improve quality 12. Assist in maintaining and improving retail standards for region 13. Assist in management of the relationship between regional coordinator and the stores 14. Oversee and be available for the Prepared Foods TL and Regional coordinator 15. Maintain Store and Vendor communications and relationships 16. Assist in Developing weekly product and merchandising strategies for stores 17. Track trends and activities in the retail market place, continual competitive analysis 18. Execute special projects as defined by the regional coordinator
REQUIREMENTS
1. Outstanding quality and performance standards; Excellent troubleshooting and active problem solving skills 2. 2 + years as successful PFDS TL with in scratch production food service with STL approval on industry equivalent 3. Verified completion of the Team Member to ATL Competencies on the FASTL Competency Checklist 4. Verified completion of the ATL to TL Competencies on the FASTL Competency Checklist 5. The highest merchandising skills and retail standards 6. Experience with equipment, fixtures, store design 7. Experience in the Bay Area market 8. Excellent communication skills 9. An understanding of margin management systems 10. An understanding of marketing theory 11. Experience with human resource management 12. Exceptional organizational skills 13. Reliable transportation - flexible to participate in remodels and all store openings 14. Computer Skills in Word and Excel a plus 15.
