Manager of Loss Prevention

Primary Functions
·Direct Loss Prevention Specialists to prevent and minimize the company’s losses by internal and external factors
·Responsible for managing the budget and performance objectives as well as ensure goals and objectives are being achieved appropriately and efficiently
·Partner with retail operations and distribution to identify and resolve loss prevention concerns throughout the company
·Communicate and interpret loss prevention policies and procedures for all levels of retail operations minimizing the risk of civil liability that could result from inappropriate associate actions
·Conduct and supervise investigations
·Research, recommend, and coordinate installation of physical security
·Ensure compliance with the companies code of ethics and corporate policies and procedures

Position Responsibilities
·Manage Loss Prevention Specialists to ensure ongoing development
·Conduct/supervise investigations of actual or potential company losses both internally and externally
·Manage the budget and performance objectives for the department
·Identify areas of shrink within the company
·Develop and implement new and improved methods to assist retail operations in reducing shrink
·Respond and coordinate appropriate action during incidences of emergency and disaster
·Maintain and build good relationships with law enforcement agencies
·Manage and coordinate the installation of physical security
·Hire and manage outside security
·Develop and implement loss prevention training programs
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications Required
·Full knowledge and ability to direct loss prevention issues, customer, associate, check fraud and vendor theft investigations
·Understanding of security hardware and software applications, (camera, access and alarm systems)
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Knowledge of criminal justice system and laws governing security practices
·Excellent investigative and organizational skills
·Sound logical judgment
·Integrity beyond reproach
·Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
