Maintenance Superintendent

Function: Operations Prepared FoodsPay Type: ExemptPosition Number: 90033494 Supt MaintenanceEmployee Type: Full Time Shift 1Job Description: SUMMARY:This position is responsible for supervising the maintenance of production equipment, building, and utilities. All functions must be coordinated within the company approved maintenance budget weekly and yearly. Oversee maintenance weekly PM schedule. Attend end of shift meetings and oversee all action items issued to maintenance technicians. Modify PLC programs and motor control circuits and update all electrical schematics. Reviews daily downtime paretos to ensure that scrap is reduced and efficiencies are increased to meet plant goals.
Other responsibilities include the development of the maintenance team and ensuring that safety, sanitation and ergonomic goals are met. Willing to train in Hazmat and able to participate in the fire force team.________________________________________REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School Diploma with equivalent experience required Special training, vocational school or college degree preferred.Experience: 3 plus yearsComputer Skills: Elementary Computer SkillsCommunication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skillsCertification: Certificates in following areas would be a plus: pneumatics, electronics, wastewater, ammonia refrigeration, electronics and environmental/OSHA regulations.Travel: 2 - 5 times per yearSupervisory Responsibilities: This person will be responsible for supervising a group of personnel (3-5 supervisors) who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.Special Skills and Other Requirements: Experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, boilers, wastewater, environmental requirements, electronics, PLC’s and ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus. Able to participate on the facility Hazmat team. Knowledge of OSHA regulations is a plus.Other Requirements: Ability to lift 50 - 100 lbs.
