Lab Supervisor
Dean Foods, Richland Center has an opportunity for quality minded individuals who are self-motivated and detail oriented to work in our Quality Control Lab.
Responsibilities:
·Be familiar with plant operating systems including: VTIS, HTST, CIP.
·Help oversee/coordinate test runs.
·Assist in problem solving, trouble shooting and solutions to quality control issues.
·Maintain lab schedule and personnel.
·Interact with production to verify practices, programs and procedures.
·Review laboratory and production records.
·Ability to write, implement and train laboratory methods and procedures.
·Communicate in a professional manner to customers.
·Communicate with manager regarding issues/opportunities, etc.
·Display a high level of professionalism and perform all duties according to Dean Foods policy.
·Other duties as required/assigned by manager.

REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related degreed field preferred.
·The ability to operate lab equipment including gerber/babcock, C.E.M. Unit, Milligram Scales, Microscope, centrifuges, pH Meter, Titration Equipment, etc.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Access).
·Familiar with microbiology testing and food chemistry.
·Knowledge of dairy processing equipment.
·Knowledge of Sanitation operations/facilities.
·Supervisory skill required.
