Deli / Bakery Sales Manager

Founded in 1957 as Food Town in Salisbury, North Carolina, Food Lion's

products at Extra Low Prices in clean, conveniently located stores.Responsible for sales, profits and associates of the Deli/Bakery
Department. Responsible for maintaining standards according to the
Deli/Bakery Standard Practice Manual. Maximize sales through excellent
customer service. Serve as a role model for customer service and other
vital behaviors, and instill this value in all associates./Authority
Direct authority over all Deli/Bakery employees in the department.
Reports to the Store Manager or in his or her absence to the Manager on
Duty.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesDevelops and maintains a friendly selling approach to customers
by all Deli/Bakery associates. Effectively executes all sales plans
applicable to the Deli/Bakery Department.Develops and carries out special promotions as planned with
the Store Manager or District Manager to increase sales and profits,Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.To ensure that Food Lion service standards are met.
Responsible for sales, profits and employees of the Deli/Bakery
Department.Ensures that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning
and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with Food Lion
policy. Maintains correct price list and ensures that all displayed
merchandise is properly price-tagged.Controls shrinkage through daily inspection and conditioning
of all merchandise and prompt planning to merchandise overstocks
REQUIREMENTS
Essential SkillsTechnical skills in all areas of preparation and handling of Deli/Bakery product in compliance with Food Lion standards.Ability to communicate and direct associates of department in order to achieve expected results.Ability to analyze situations, identify problems abd implement solutions.
Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25lbs. Ability to break down and reassemble all equipment in the department for sanitation purposes.Ability to meet production standards established by Food Lion.Understands and teaches all required paperwork.
