Category Marketing Specialist

This individual will deliver marketing expertise and presentations to assist in the successful execution of the Category and Global Account business strategy within the region. Responsibilities include:

•Deliver the expertise and presentations to assist in achievement of the strategic goals and key target projects across the category at optimal cost where designated by Category Management.
•Tailor and deliver as appropriate Category Global Presentations for specific accounts or markets.
•Work closely with regional sales teams, understanding their markets, customers and requirements. To afford them all possible support whilst prioritizing resource and expense allocation based upon the overall Global Category and Marketing strategies.
•Work flexibly within the Marketing team working on shared presentations / tools as required.
•Work within any other category if it helps IFF to achieve its overall Flavor and Fragrance category strategy and sales growth.
•Assist in the development and implementation of the NA category strategies.
•Liaise closely with other regional and global category marketers to tap into and deliver global learning, trend reviews and best practice to optimum local advantage.
•Provide full category marketing support to IFF Global Account and Regional Sales teams.
•Stay fully abreast of regional product, lifestyle and brand trends and to disseminate this information as relevant across the cross functional teams and the global marketing organization.
•Provide a focal point of contact for regional market samples and market / product information requests.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum:
Bachelor's Degree with Marketing Concentration and 3-5 years experience in Food/Beverage, Flavor or Food Ingredient Marketing

Preferred
•3-5 yrs. experience in Consumer (Food or Beverage) Marketing Management, with new product development and/or brand responsibilities.
•Food Science courses or equivalent background/experience
•Basic understanding of Sensory/Consumer Testing as Product Guidance tool
•Training/experience in formal Creative Problem Solving techniques

Skills
•Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
•Trained and experienced presenter to external audiences
•Project management experience a plus
