Traffic Signal Technician II

Maintains, repairs and installs traffic signal control devices; provides a high standard of traffic safety to the general public; bench test, troubleshoot and repair of traffic signal equipment; provides annual preventive maintenance checks; installs and maintains school beacons; replace, repair and maintain city streetlights, replace old and/or bad inductive loops in streets; respond to and investigate complaints about traffic signals.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires two years of electronics experience in traffic signal operation. HS diploma/GED, with equivalent education to an associate’s degree with major course work in electronic technology or a related field; possession of a Level II Traffic Technician Certificate, and a valid driver’s license. Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background investigation. Hours: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm, M-F and 24 hour rotating on-call required. Salary: $35,658/yr. - $45,715/yr.DOQ.
