Title Clearance Attorney

We are poised for a long term growth opportunity. In this position, you will work with a legal team of professionals clearing New York title exceptions; request and review documentation that are submitted by examiners, attorneys and brokers; determine requirements to clear exceptions; and add exceptions to report as necessary. This position involves intensive review of title abstracts, deeds, mortgages, trusts, wills, agreements and other recorded documents, county clerk filings, and court files. You will communicate with "leads", title closers, underwriting counsel; and assist in clearing at-closing issues.
REQUIREMENTS
Admission or awaiting admission to New York State Bar. Ideal candidate should have knowledge of real estate practice and title law. Prior title company experiences a plus as would be admission to New Jersey Stare bar, and/or knowledge of New Jersey Title practice. Commercial title experiences a plus. These additional skills would adjust target salary upward. An entry level attorney can be a candidate if he/she exhibits intelligence, a desire to learn and an interest in a career in the title industry.
