NOTICE OF TESTING FOR POSITION OF

DEPUTY SHERIFF OF JASPER COUNTY, IOWA

Jasper County has an opening for a Deputy Sheriff. Starting pay approx, $4OK/year. Interested persons must complete and deliver to the Jasper County Civil Service Commission (JCCSC) a written application. Application forms are available for pickup Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Jasper County Sheriff s Office, 2300 Law Center Drive, Newton, Iowa 50208. ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE AND RETURN APPLICATION FORMS NO LATER THAN 2:00 P.M. OCTOBER 27, 2006, T0 THE ADDRESS SHOWN ABOVE IN ORDER TO BE ENTITLED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TESTING PROCESS. The Deputy Sheriff entry-level civil service written examination will be administered November 10, 2006, at 8:30 a.m. at the DMACC College Campus, 600 N 2nd Ave W., Newton, Iowa. Persons receiving both a minimum qualifying score on the written examination and the physical agility portion of test will be scheduled for a personal interview by the Commissioners. Applicants should plan to spend the entire day, possibly into the evening if necessary, involved with such commission activities. Post employment drug testing will also be required.
