Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Provide specialized technical advice and assistance services to the Air Force Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (AFC2ISRC) Joint Programs and Initiatives (CTJ). Services are focused on providing concept and capabilities requirements for implementing a Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) and supporting programs.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Responsible for:
Providing authoritative advice and technical assistance with concept and requirements development for the Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP)
Analyze evolving and emerging requirements, integration strategies, technologies and implementation concepts for soundness and applicability to Air Force C2ISR tactics, techniques and procedures.
Identifying capabilities and capability shortfalls, and possible candidate solutions
Providing test and exercise support to include after action reporting to analyze and prove operational capabilities and integration with supporting and supported systems
Advocating and influencing Air Force positions at technical exchange meetings, capability development forums and configuration control boards
Reviewing and analyzing other C2ISR systems and concepts for SIAP capability impact - identifying shortfalls, inconsistencies, and integration requirements
Developing executive staff briefings, background papers, correspondence and decision points
Drafting technical reports and performing trade studies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Requirements:
Bachelors DegreeRelevant Experience (amount and type):
Ten (10) years experience with C2ISR concept, requirements and systems development
Three (3) years experience working with or directly related to the Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP)
Must have a strong working understanding of Tactical Data Links, Networks and processes as well as limitations and challenges associated with integrating a SIAP between Joint and Service systems
Understanding of the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)
Knowledge and understanding of tactical data links and networks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be able to work complex problems in a dynamic environment with minimal supervisionPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree
Airborne and Ground Theater Air Control System, to include AOC WS, experience with tactical and integrated air picturesWORKING LOCATIONS & ADDITIONAL INFO
