Registered Nurse - Psychiatry Responsibilities & Overview:Our Department of Psychiatry for Riverside County Regional Medical Center is comprised of the Emergency Treatment Services (ETS) and the Inpatient Treatment Facility (ITF).ETS provides emergency psychiatric care for the residents of Riverside County. The patient population includes those who are seriously and persistently mentally ill, as well as those with co-occurring disorders. If you like a fast-paced, challenging work environment, ETS may be the assignment you’re looking for.ITF provides hospital level of care for those patients who are a danger to themselves, or others, or are gravely disabled. The inpatient units utilize a multi-disciplinary team approach whose members include psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, Registered Nurses, Vocational Nurses, Psychiatric Technicians, Nursing Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Recreational Therapists. The inpatient units include a nine-be intensive treatment unit for those patients needing higher level of observation or intervention, two twenty-six bed adult units, and a twelve bed adolescent unit. We currently have job opportunities for Registered Nurses who have an interest or experience in psychiatry. REQUIREMENTS
Registered Nurse - Psychiatry Must Possess: Education:Graduation from a recognized college with diploma or degree as a Registered Nurse. License/Certificate:Must possess and maintain a current valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.Possession of a valid California Driver’s License may be required of some positions in these classes. Pre-Employment:All employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of both a pre-employment physical exam, including a drug/alcohol test, and a criminal background investigation, which involves fingerprinting. (A felony or misdemeanor conviction may disqualify the applicant from County employment).
