Proposal Manager

Serves as Proposal Manager for medium to large proposals (over $20-$50M), involving multiple Strategic Business Units and subcontractors to direct production efforts with assistance of the production group. Manages all activities involved in the development and revision activities of major proposals, especially those proposals for federal civilian agencies and DHS. Develops RFP/Proposal cross-reference and/or compliance matrix; familiarity with federal civilian RFP's desired. Coordinates with subcontractors to collect data required for technical proposal development. Develops format guidance and samples, in concert with Proposal Manager. Ensures proposal compliance with solicitation requirements. Coordinates corporate-wide resources to support efforts including purchasing, contracts, facilities, etc. Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced proposal specialists. Performs research in company databases and web-based knowledge-management collaborative tools (such as MS SharePoint) for proposal development. Participates in the writing, design, and development of proposals. Edits technical materials according to the GPO and coordinates with technical personnel to ensure accuracy. Assists during final production. Follows government/customer specifications and company policies and practices; participates in special projects as required. Some travel possible to support proposal teams.
REQUIREMENTS
-Requires 5-7 years of related experience managing proposal efforts in a government contracting environment.
-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
-Computer skills, familiarity with MS Office 2003 and SharePoint.
-Advanced knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices associated with proposal development in a government contracting environment.
-Knowledge of the company's products, services, and customer base.
-Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills.
