Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree and one year specialized experience in such fields as probation, pretrial services, corrections, or work in substance abuse/ addiction treatment is preferred. The position is classified as hazardous duty. Applicants cannot have reached their 37th birthday at commencement of employment.
